The folks behind one of the largest local Alzheimers fundraisers of the year have entered the charity golf tourney business.
Chilihrea, the annual chili cookoff with a kinda gross sounding name that raised over $80,000 at their 2016 event, will host their second ever Chilirhea Swag Classic at Stonebridge Meadows this fall on Oct. 14.
The event includes a four man scramble tournament as well as a long drive competition, putting contest, and closest-to-the-hole prize.
Teams of four can sign up for $400, and hole sponsorships are available for $100. Proceeds from the event benefit Alzheimer’s Arkansas and UAMS Reynolds Institute on Aging.
The fun begins with lunch at 11:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start to the tourney at 1 p.m.
Sign up is open through Sept. 28. For more information or to register, email [email protected]
