Put on your dancing shows, everybody. There are a ton of big shows coming up at George’s.
The venue recently announced its lineup of upcoming shows for the next few months, and there are some big names on the list.
Guitarist/actor Dweezil Zappa is coming to the venue on April 3, indie pop outfit Dr. Dog is back in town for their first show in a few years on April 9, and Reverent Horton Heat is back in town for a show with Unknown Hinson on April 6.
Several local bands will celebrate the release of new music this spring, with The Irie Lions set to release a record on March 16, John Henry with a new album party set for March 22, and Opal Agafia & The Sweet Nothings new record coming out Jun 2.
There are some interesting sounding tribute shows on the schedule, with a Sublime Tribute on Feb. 24, an Allman Brothers Tribute on April 6, a Tom Petty Tribute on April 21.
There’s a big electronic shows with Ganja White Night on Feb. 28, and Black Tiger Sex Machine on April 10.
Other notables include Josh Abbot Band on March 9, Tristen on March 12, Friends of the Phamily on March 31, Corey Smith on April 20, and Monte Montgomery on April 28.
