Fayetteville Gumbo Cook-Off set for March 17

How are your gumbo tasting skills? We ask because you’ll get to put them to the test next month.

The third annual Fayetteville Gumbo Cookoff is set for Saturday, March 17 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

The event will include over thirty gumbos competing to take home this year’s People’s Choice trophy, live music by Block Street Hot Club and Second Line Strings, local craft beer available to purchase, and other festivities.

Tickets are $25, on sale now at Eventbrite.com.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Lib Horne Fayetteville Animal Shelter, The Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank & The Washington County Humane Society.
