The holidays are around the corner, but if you like live music and you live in Fayetteville, it seems like every day is Christmas this time of year.

That’s because venues and promoters all over the region have been announcing big upcoming shows on what seems like a daily basis these last few weeks. As usual, it looks like the folks at JJ’s Live have been busy lately.

Venue officials this week announced a big show for the spring with punk rock legends Descendents and the Circle Jerks coming up on March 26, 2024.

That’s one to look forward to for a while, but there are several shows much sooner than that.

The venue will host two release parties for the re-recording of Taylor Swift’s album 1989 on Friday, Oct 27. One is all ages from 6-8 p.m., and the second show for grown ups will take place from 9 p.m. to midnight.

They’ll also host a Halloween party on Saturday night (Oct. 28) featuring local 90s tribute The Dial Ups and 2000s tribute The Burnt CDs.

There’s a big bluegrass show on Nov. 15 with the return of Greensky Bluegrass to Fayetteville. Special guest Lindsey Lou will open the show. That same week, indie folk act The Head and the Heart is set to perform on Nov. 16.

Drake White and William Clark Green will bring their Blow Up Your TV tour to town on Dec. 2, and there’s a big hip hop show with Kevin Gates on Dec. 7.

The music continues into 2024 with the Metalcore Dropouts: 2nd Semester tour with Fit for a King and The Devil Wears Prada on Jan. 17.

Country act The Randy Rogers Band is coming back to town as well in 2024, when they take the JJ’s Live stage on Feb. 23, and Canadian folk/bluegrass band The Dead South Feb. 27.

Those are just some of the highlights. JJ’s full lineup announced so far is below. For more info, or to purchase tickets, visit jjsllive.com.
