Jamie Lou & The Hullabaloo to reissue 2017 album ‘Femi-Socialite’ Dec. 4

One of Fayetteville’s favorite bands will reissue a spruced-up version of their their debut album next month.

Local indie/folk/rockers Jamie Lou and the Hullabaloo this week announced they will re-release their 2017 album “Femi-Socialite” with updated vocal and instrumental performances, and new mixes on Dec. 4.

The album will include instrumental performances recorded by Eric Witthans at Homestaead Recordings in Fayetteville, and new mixes by Chris Shaw (Bob Dylan, Wilco, Ween, Weezer.)

The record was also remaster by engineer Joe Gastwirt (Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Petty).

The album artwork also got a refresh, with a new cover design by Tiffany Willis Bryson.

Jamie Lou and the Hullabalo is made up of songwriter Jamie Lou Connolly on vocals and guitar, Garrett Brolond on guitar, Peyton Finley on bass, and Matt White on drums.

The band has beenc ompared to Fleetwood Mac, Portishead, and My Morning Jacket, and described as “a raucous and dynamic marriage of fuzz and folk.”
