It’s cold out there, and though the summer concert season seems like a world away right now, a new winter concert series by the folks behind Fayetteville Roots Festival could help keep music fans warm over these cold winter months ahead.

The series, called the Northwesterly Winter Concert Series, will feature six shows kicking off Jan. 17 with a performance by Asheville, North Carolina fiddle player Andrew Finn Magill.

After that, the series will continue on Feb. 18 with Nashville, Tennessee (via San Francisco) bluegrass band, Front Country, followed by singer/songwriter Christopher Paul Stelling (Feb. 26), Virginia-based songwriter Dori Freeman (March 6), Minnesota duo Dead Horses (March 10), and concluding with songwriter and two-time Roots Festival veteran, Mary Gauthier on March 24.

Tickets to the shows range from $15-$25 plus fees, and are on sale now at therootsfest.org.
