North Forest Lights will return to Crystal Bridges for a second season.
The program includes five nighttime installations with light, sound, and sensory effects in the middle of the museum’s north forest area.
North Forest Lights will be open in the evening hours after sunset Friday through Sunday from Sept. 4 through April 4, 2021. Additional days may be offered later in the season.
Visitors are required to wear face coverings and are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to maintain attendance limitations. Walk-up tickets will cost an additional $5 and will only be available as capacity allows.
Sanitization stations, touchless ticket scanning, and new paths and signage are among new measures that will allow for social distancing and a safe and enjoyable experience, according to the museum.
Officials said the Whispering Tree, one of the five installations that lets participants communicate with a tree to learn about the color of their voice, will have a new queuing system to allow for social distancing, plus single-use microphone covers.
