Square to Square bike ride from Bentonville to Fayetteville set for Sept. 22

Oil up your chain, and polish up your bikes, everyone. It’s time for the semi-annual Square to Square bike ride.

The fall event is set for Saturday, Sept. 22 when riders will make their way from Bentonville to Fayetteville on the Razorback Greenway.

The ride starts are scheduled between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., and riders will depart from Lawrence Square in Bentonville, though participatns can choose to start anywhere they’d like along the trail system.

The full ride is 30 miles in all, with festive pit stops featuring snacks, refreshments, music, and more along the way.

A mini-festival will take place on the Fayetteville square at the finish line from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Shuttles will be available the day of the ride. They will pick up at the Hillcrest Towers Bus Stop in Fayetteville, located at Center Street and School Avenue, and will drop off at the Benton County Office Complex in Bentonville located near the Square between E Central Ave and NE 2nd St. Shuttle times are scheduled for 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.. Shuttles can carry 75 people and bikes per timeslot. (Click here for a map and schedule).

The ride is $25 for adults, and $15 for kids 9-13 years old. Participants will receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and wristband. Registration is now open via Race Wizard.

Packet pickups will be held on Thursday, September 20 from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Friday, September 21 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at both Fayetteville Parks & Recreation (1455 S Happy Hollow Road) and Bentonville Parks & Recreation (215 SW A St).
