Tales from the South to record live from Maxine’s Tap Room Nov. 18

A popular nationally-syndicated radio show will record live from Fayetteville next week.

Tales from the South, the show that originated in North Little Rock featuring southern writers reading their own true stories before a live audience, will begin a live taping from Maxine’s Tap Room at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18.

The show is self-described as part house concert, part reading, and will feature live music by blues duo Tyrannosaurus Chicken.

Storytellers at the Fayetteville show include Ken McGaughy, Jim Fairbanks and Jerry Hogan.

Pizza delivery from Wood Stone Craft Pizza will also be available.

Tales from the South airs at 7 p.m. Thursdays on KUAR in Central Arkansas, and at 3:30 p.m. Saturdays on National Public Radio affiliate KUAF in Fayetteville.

Tickets to the event are $10 at the door, or in advance via Eventbrite.
