Uniquely Crafted – Local Bites & Brews event to debut April 9

A new event highlighting the local craft beer scene, and benefiting a local charity will make its debut in Fayetteville next month.

Uniquely Crafted – Local Bites & Brews is set for Saturday, April 9 at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks.

The event will include a beer garden featuring craft brews from Core, Ozark, Bike Rack, Fossil Cove, New Province, Black Apple, Apple Blossom, Bentonville, Columbus House, and Saddlebock, well craft cocktails by Pink House Alchemy, and food from local food trucks.

There will also be a “brew mile” at the event, where participants will run a quarter mile, drink a local beer, and then repeat until they’ve completed four brews and a full one-mile run. There will be 10 heats of 15 runners beginning at 5:15 p.m. The race will be chip timed and awards will be given for the winner of each heat, as well as for overall male and female winners.

Tickets are $35 or the beer garden (includes tastings and commemorative mug), $50 for the Brew Mile (include race, 4 beers and commemorative t-shirt), or food and craft beer for $65. Designated drivers get in for $10, and will be entered into a drawing for a prizes. All attendees must be at least 21 years of age.

The event is sponsored by Grub’s Bar & Grill and BLKBOXLABS, and proceeds will benefit the Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas.
