The date is set for the 2014 Block Street Block Party, and once again, the little road that connects Dickson Street to the Fayetteville square will be rocking on a Sunday evening in late spring.

Attention funky businesses, community groups, food vendors, artists and crafters. The deadline to apply be a vendor at Block Street Block party is approaching.

Once again, the little road that connects Dickson Street to the Fayetteville square will be rocking on a Sunday evening in late spring.

The second-year event was expanded this year to include more bands, vendors, and beer gardens stretching from Dickson Street all the way to Mountain Street on the downtown square.

Thanks to our friends at Hugo’s, the rental fee is covered so that 100% of the proceeds benefit Feed Fayetteville, a local nonprofit that battles hunger and food insecurity in Northwest Arkansas.

The balloon will be tethered in the parking lot behind Tables & Ale, located at the corner of Meadow and East Avenue, from 5:15 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. Rides will be available for $6 each.

The 2012 Block Street Block Party is set for Sunday, May 20, and organizers are looking for a little help to make it happen.
