The races are set to take place from Wednesday, April 3 to Sunday, April 7.
The park, located in southwest Fayetteville, will host the event as part of the U.S. Cup Series, which will include Olympian competitors, as well as world and national champions. The athletes will compete for qualifying points for the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
City officials said to ensure the trails are in optimal condition for the event and facilitate the post-event takedown, the World Cup, Chasing Gold, and sections of the Fayetteville Traverse trails will be closed through April 8. However, trails such as Learners Permit, Pop Rocks, Junk Drawer, Basket Case, and certain parts of the Fayetteville Traverse will remain accessible to the public.
Spectators wishing to attend the event on foot or by bicycle are advised to use the paved trail from South Mount Millsap Lane off Old Farmington Road or the accessible sections of the Fayetteville Traverse trail from South Dinsmore Trail Road off Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Public parking at Centennial Park will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendance at the U.S. Pro Cup is free for all spectators.
