Headquarters House hosts ice cream social Saturday

The Washington County Historical Society is hosting their 39th annual Ice Cream Social this Saturday, August 15, from 4pm to 7:30pm, at the Headquarters House on Dickson St. here in Fayetteville.

Enjoy all-you-can-eat ice cream, cake, live music, living history, and children’s activities. Tour the historic gardens and Headquarters House, built in 1853, and learn its part in Civil War history. Proceeds benefit the Washington County Historical Society’s educational programs for children and adults.

Admission is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children ages 6-12, and $15 for a family pass. Kids under 6 get in free.

Purchase tickets at the door or in advance at the Headquarters House on 118 E. Dickson during open hours (Wednesdays 1pm-4pm).
